- Some of you may know of my son Brian's plans to volunteer with Canada World Youth. He will be helping in New Brunswick for three months, then in Ghana (West Africa) for another three months. He needs to raise $2500 for this trip and we are holding a fund-raiser at the Silverthorn Legion on Sunday, July 5th, from 3pm til 7pm. Brian's good friend John Engelhardt will be joining us on drums. I have been listening to these two young men play together for two or three years and finally get to play with this fine rhythm section. Other musicians may be joining us, so this is going to be a fun afternoon. There will be a $10 cover charge.
